The Cryptographic Service of modern Russia was established by the resolution of the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR of May 5, 1921. It provides information protection in information and telecommunications systems and special communication systems in the Russian Federation and its institutions abroad, including in systems using modern information technologies, using encryption (cryptographic) means.

SIBECRYPT is one of the leading conferences on cryptography and computer security in Russia, held annually in different cities of Siberia. Its purpose is to discuss the fundamental mathematical problems of cryptography and information security in computer systems and networks, to exchange scientific results on the development of theoretical foundations and the creation of software and hardware for computer security.
The conference is organized by NSU and the International Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok, Tomsk State University, the Institute of Cryptography, Communications and Informatics of the FSB Academy, the Academy of Cryptography of the Russian Federation and Moscow State University. In 2021, the conference will be held at the Novosibirsk State University and the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics 6 - 11 September. Experts from all over the world can take part in the conference. Acceptable formats of participation: lecture, plenary and sectional report. The working languages of the conference are Russian and English. Conference website – sibecrypt.ru. You can submit abstracts and applications for participation in the conference until April 30, 2021.
-The International Conference SIBECRYPT-2021 is certainly an important event for Novosibirsk. To hold it at a decent level is a responsible task for our entire team. Five years ago, in 2016, we already hosted this conference at the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics. We hope that we will manage this year,- said the chairman of the organizing committee of the conference, Head of the Department. Laboratory of Cryptography, FIT NSU, Natalia Tokareva.
We invite students and teachers conducting research in the field of cryptography and information security to take part in the conference!

The Non-Stop University CRYPTO Olympiad is the only international Olympiad in cryptography. It brings together both schoolchildren and students, as well as professionals from all over the world. Anyone can take part in the Olympiad, regardless of their geographical location. The official language of the Olympiad is English. The purpose of the Olympiad is to attract young researchers to solve the problems of modern cryptography.
In 2020, the Olympiad was held online in two independent rounds: personal and team. Schoolchildren of Akademgorodok and students of NSU took an active part in the fight, they managed to win prizes.
In the first round, Danila Kazantsev and Georgy Vinokurov (SUNC NSU) received honorary diplomas in the "schoolchildren" category. Konstantin Romanov, Sergey Zinchenko and Vladislav Orekhovsky (Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of NSU) also received honorary diplomas in the category "students". Post-graduate student of the Faculty of Information Technologies of NSU Roman Lebedev was awarded a diploma of the second degree in the category "professionals".
In the second round, the team of students of NSU of Alexander Bakharev, Constantine Sharankhaeva and Encina Supanova received diplomas. A team of NSU professionals consisting of Roman Lebedev, Vladimir Sitnov and Ilya Koryakin was awarded a diploma of the third degree.
The organizers note that this year there is a record number of winners and prize-winners, and the number of participants is growing from year to year. In 2020, 775 young researchers from more than 50 countries took part in the Olympiad, with 14 countries being represented for the first time.

Dear friends! The Olympiad 2020 has come to the end! We thank all the participants for their active presentation and creative solutions! Summing up at the end of November. Thanks to all!
Introductory lecture "Review of the Advanced Encryption Standard" will be given by Nicky Mouha (NIST, USA) specially for the participants of the Olympiad.
We are glad to inform you that the Review of AES proposed by NIST will be presented at the first time in the history! So, join us:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgPgiLl3WCqMLXU38tVYulw/.
The lecture starts an hour before the start of the first round of the Olympiad, namely on October, 18 at 3 p.m. NOVT (UTC+7).
Nicky Mouha is a researcher at the Computer Security Division of NIST (USA), a member of crypto standartization committees at NIST, ISO/IEC JTC1 SC27, and ASC X9F; a co-author of the Triple DES (3DES) standard, which is one of only two block ciphers that are approved for use by the U.S. government. Nicky is well known as the designer of the Chaskey algorithm and as the inventor of the MILP and SAT-based techniques that have now become the standard tools to analyze the security of cryptographic algorithms against statistical attacks.
Recall that the Olympiad starts tomorrow! Be registered on nsucrypto.nsu.ru.
