The organizers and partners of the Olympiad are the Cryptographic Center (Novosibirsk), the National Technological Center for Digital Cryptography, Novosibirsk State University, the Northwestern Center for Mathematical Research named after Sofia Kovalevskaya, the University of Leuven (Belgium), the companies Kryptonite and Active, Southern Federal University, Belarusian State University, Tomsk State University.
A delegation from the National Technological Center for Digital Cryptography (Moscow), headed by Director General I.F.Kachalin, arrives especially for summing up and awarding the students of NSU – the winners of the Olympiad.
On November 27, at 11:00 a.m., an open lecture "Features of the application of modern cryptography in practice" from E.K.Alekseev, Director of Scientific Research at the Scientific Research Center of the Central Committee, will take place in au. 4117. At the end of the lecture, the winners of the NSUCRYPTO-2024 Olympiad from NSU will be awarded. We invite everyone!
More than 1,250 students, professionals and schoolchildren from 47 countries took part in NSUCRYPTO-2024. At the same time, there are quite a lot of winners from NSU.
In the individual round in the "schoolchildren" category, Maria Koch, a student of the SUNC NSU, took third place. She was opposed by schoolchildren from India and Vietnam. In the student section, Ivan Baksheev, a FIT student, received a second degree diploma, who managed to bypass the participants from Finland and Singapore. Roman Lebedev, a lecturer at the Faculty of Information Technology, was awarded a second degree diploma in the "professionals" category. His rivals were strong participants from the UK, China and Poland.
In the team round, the second place was taken by the team of Ivan Baksheev, a student of FIT. The third degree diplomas were awarded to the team of MMF students consisting of Anvar Mukumov and Egor Plotnikov and the team of Daria Koroleva (MMF), Andrey Larionov (MMF) and Mikhail Tsukanov (FIT). Our students competed with teams from the USA, Serbia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Bangladesh. Alexander Bakharev (MMF), Rinchin Zapanov (ISI SB RAS) and Denis Bykov (MMF) took second place in the "professionals" category: they managed to beat strong teams from Germany, India, China, Romania, Poland, Vietnam and Italy.
MMF students Igor Babushkin, Denis Voronov, Ilya Gunin, Taisiya Kashintseva, Lyubov Kolbasova, Taisiya Petruneva and FIT student Alexey Vishnevsky were awarded diplomas of the Olympiad.

The Eleventh International Cryptography Olympiad Non-Stop University CRYPTO-2024 will be held from October 13 to 21. This is the largest event in the field of cryptography and information security, which traditionally attracts a lot of attention from the professional community.
Students, professionals and schoolchildren from all over the world can try their hand at solving gaming problems and complex scientific problems of modern cryptography. Since the creation of the Olympiad, several thousand people from more than 70 countries have participated in it.
The Olympiad is held in English in two independent distance rounds. The individual tour is on October 13 and the team tour is from October 14 to October 21. Registration is already open on the Olympiad website: https://nsucrypto.nsu.ru/.
NSUCRYPTO is the only international cryptography Olympiad that contains both academic tasks and unsolved scientific problems. The purpose of the Olympiad is to attract young researchers to solving the problems of modern cryptography. Following the results of each Olympiad, scientific articles are published with an analysis of the problems proposed to the participants, including unresolved ones requiring separate scientific research. The winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad are awarded with prizes.
NSUCRYPTO is the only Olympiad from Russia (and one of seventeen worldwide) that is taken into account in the ranking of universities when analyzing students' wins in international Olympiads in various fields of science. The rating was prepared with the support of the Russian Union of Rectors. Students' wins on NSUCRYPTO are also counted in the RAEX-100 university ranking.
